Intro...
No man is an island is well said. Organisms just cannot live alone in this planet. They interact with others in many ways. Organisms interact in order to get food, shelter and protection. It is important that organisms interact with one another because by these interactions the size of population in a community can be controlled and thus create a balanced and stable environment.
Types of interaction:
1. Prey - predator
Here the predator will capture and eat the prey. Predator is usually a larger animal than its prey. It can be either a carnivor or an omnivore. It has special adaptations such as powerful jaws sharp teeth, sharp claws, and good stereoscopic vision. On the other hand, a prey is a smaller animal as compare to its predator. It can be either a herbivore or an omnivore. It also has special adaptations such as monoscopic vision and the ability to move very fast.

In this relationship, the predator benefits while the prey loses.
Tiger eats deer
Snake eats mouse
2. Symbiosis with further divides into comensalism, mutualism, and parasitism.
A relationship where two organisms living closed to one another, either benefit each other, or one benefits the other no benedir nor harm or one benefits the other harmed.
Comensalism
A relationship between 2 organism where one will benefit, the other no benefit nor harm.

The clownfish get their protection from the poisonous tentacles of the sea anemone. The sea anemone gains nothing from the clowfish nor any harm.
Mutualism
A relationship between 2 organism where both have benefits. Neither will survive in the natural environment without the other.

Lichen consists of fungi which provide shelter and water for an algae which will in turn provide food.
Parasitism
A relationship between 2 organism where the parasite will benefits while the other organism (host) will be harmed.

This is a human head lice which stays in dirty hair and sucks blood from tha scalp.
3. Competition
This is a relationship where organism living in the same habitat compete to obtain food, shelter and mates.
Intraspecific competition : Competition between individual of the same species.
Interspecific competition : Competition between individual of different species.
